About
MTR is an American rock band led by Miles Curtiss. MTR was operating as a one man band from 1999 until about 2007, when Curtiss began to incorporate a rotating cast of drummers, bass players, and other instrumentalists. The line up has been fairly stable since 2016 with Miah Brightland on drums, Troy Kunkler on bass, with Miles on main guitar and vox.
MTR’s sound ranges from grungy, but hook laden indie rock to delicate, acoustic arrangements with a brief pit stop into EDM territory every now and again. “Every album sort of does it’s own thing. I just kind of pick a theme or a set of instruments I want to use and follow where it takes me.” explains Curtiss.

"If I ever get a girlfriend and it's around Valentines Day, her presents will consist of Marvin the Robot cd's. And my future ideal girlfriend will like quasi-noisy, innocent post-punk/indie/rock or whatever music, so she will love this."
